Featuring some of the Vancouver area’s best hiking trails and a thrilling suspension bridge, Lynn Canyon Park is one of the city’s true gems. Opened in 1912, Lynn Canyon has been giving Vancouver natives and tourists alike a unique urban wilderness experience for almost a century.

Located in northern Vancouver, the 346-hectare Lynn Canyon includes the Baden-Powell Trail as it makes its way throughout the city and the Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge, a pedestrian bridge that’s situated between two cliffs and rises 50 metres above the ground. The park is also full of walking and running trails, which vary in length and difficulty.

The forest that makes up most of the park is a second-growth forest, as this area was a popular logging hub before it became a public park. Television series like Stargate SG-1, Atlantis and Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction have all used Lynn Canyon as a filming location.
