Located in the heart of downtown Vancouver, British Columbia, Robson Street is one of the city’s premier shopping destinations. The three-block shopping area features over a hundred retailers and other businesses, including everything from clothiers and fashion stores to restaurants and banks.
Robson Street, which runs between Burrard and Jervis Streets in what is perhaps Vancouver’s busiest area, features popular shops like American Apparel, Banana Republic, Foot Locker, Gap, Guess, The Sunglass Hut and Tommy Hilfiger alongside unique boutiques and restaurants that can only be found in Vancouver.
Constructed in the late 1880s, Robson Street is named after 19th century Premier of British Columbia John Robson and first became a commercial destination when train tracks were laid there around the turn of the century. It began to come into its own after World War II, when many small retailers started to pop up.
