With its majestic mountains, beautiful beaches, serene ocean and wondrous cityscape, it’s no wonder that Vancouver, British Columbia is known for its plethora of scenic drives. Northwest Marine Drive, which travels along the Pacific Ocean and goes all the way to Whistler Mountain north of the city, is one of the best of the best, a drive that even the most reluctant sightseers marvel at.

Everybody will find something to love along Northwest Marine Drive, whether it’s the shops that adorn its sidewalks in the retail district of West Vancouver, the calming waters of the Pacific or the breathtaking mountain scenery that helps define this part of western Canada. As it traverses the water, the road is served by a ferry at Horseshoe Bay and the towering Lions Gate Bridge, and visitors can bike, walk or ride the bus on Northwest Marine if they’d rather take in the sights and sounds than drive along it.
