Often identified by its large geodesic dome, Vancouver, British Columbia’s Science World at Telus World of Science is home to many interactive and educational exhibits and shows that help teach visitors about the world around them. Home to two theatres and several galleries, Science World is a non-profit organization meant for the advancement of science education in British Columbia.
Science World’s state-of-the-art OMNIMAX Theatre regularly runs science features and documentaries on subjects such as outer space and the oceans on its giant screen, while the Science Theatre also shows educational films that captivate audiences of all ages. Its roster of galleries includes the hands-on Eureka gallery, children’s area Kidscape and BodyWorks, which highlights the human body and uncovers many of the mysteries behind it.
Just off Highway 99 and the Trans-Canada Highway, Science World is located just five minutes from downtown Vancouver and is also served by public transit.
