Beacon Hill Park was named after two of the beacons on Mount Beacon. Formerly a disputed piece of land, it was officially made a municipal park of Victoria in 1882. It is a 200 acre park which is popular with both locals and tourists. It offers a number of amenities like shoreline trails, woodland, a playground, a petting zoo, play field and even landscape gardens.
