This museum is one of the designated ‘National Historic Sites’. It’s a museum based in ‘Victorian-era’ home constructed for ‘Sir Hugh John Macdonald’, i.e. offspring of the 1st prime minister Sir John A. Macdonald. Society went on to save this house from getting demolished in the year 1970; by having bought the property, restoring it to 1895 appearance (original). Interior portion is being furnished with ‘Victorian’ antiques and artifacts donated by Manitobans.
