New Brunswick, Canada has an area of 72,908 sq km. With around 749,000 inhabitants, Fredericton is the capital. Located on the Atlantic Coast, New Brunswick is one of Canada’s three Maritime Provinces. It shares its borders with Quebec and Nova Scotia in Canada and Maine in USA. New Brunswick has a diverse topography in the form of forested areas, the Appalachian mountain range and bays. This province is home to several Native American tribes like the Mikmaq and the Wolastoqiyik. It was later colonised by the French and the British, leading to the foundation of two distinct linguistic groups in this province. New Brunswick is the only province with two official languages (French and English) in Canada.
