 Miaramichi formed in 1995 is situated at the mouth of the Miramichi River is the largest city in Northern New Brunswick, Canada. It usually enjoys a cool and moist climate but summers are warm and sunny and reach 37.8°C, which was the highest ever recorded and the city precipitates at an average of about 1100 mm per year. The statistical records as on 2001 shows there were 18,508 people residing in Miramichi of which males and females were 48.1%25 and 51.9%25 respectively. It has got 11 public schools operated by the Dept. of Education, New Brunswick. Miramichi Folk Song festival, Irish Festival on the Miramichi, Miramichi Fiddle festival, Canada days festival, Miramichi Exhibition are some of the important festivals and events that take place in Miramichi. The city owns fabulous places that invite people to view the charming beauty of nature. A cruise to this site helps people to refresh and tranquil their spirit.
