The Burnt Cape Ecological Reserve is located near the extreme end of the Great Northern Peninsula and is also surrounded on three sides by the Strait of Belle Isle.
The area has a perfectly cold climate and also a unique landscape with calcium rich soil allowing many plants of a rich variety to grow here.
Visitors can have a chilly time even in the summer because of the many glaciers nearby. It is a wonderful place to witness plants, icebergs, fossils and many other geological features, and wildlife. Guides are available for the tourists in the summer.
