Carbonear is a famous town of Newfoundland situated on the Avalon Peninsula in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. It is located on the western side of the Conception Bay and about half the way between Avalon Peninsula. According to the population census recorded in 2006, the town was supposed to have a population of around 4923 which has dropped down as compared to 2001 when the population was 5,415. This shows that it is a scarcely populated region. According to the Canadian census the town is considered to have a total area of around 11.9 square kilometers. The religion followed here is uniquely Christianity because maximum residents of the population here have their emergence from the North American Province. There are two primary and secondary schools in Carbonear. The weather in Carbonear is much similar to the climate of Avalon Peninsula which has a moderate temperate climate with average temperature between 6 to 22 degrees throughout the year.
