The village of Cavendish is a small settlement of people based in the Newfoundland and Labrador Territory in the country of Canada. It is based on the area that is comprised by the combination of the St. Johns and the Stewart River. The people here do not have a source of likelihood so most of them go out in search of jobs. Most of the residents are employed in the nearby cities of St. John's or Mount Pearl. The population was estimated to be around 5,461 according to the 2006 census. The thing that makes this village noticeable is the vast beaches and water activities. The climate here is a bit humid but is always extreme. The temperature drops below -5 degrees in the winters. The summers are very hot and the winters are also very chilly. Fishing is carried out in some parts as a source of livelihood. Tourism has emerged as a major activity here, thus there are many activities such as hunting and whale watching which go on around here.
