The City of Deer Lake is benefited by a Rocky Harbor in which a small portion is reserved for the tourists. There are a large number of huge whales that visit this part of the Bay at a specific point of the day. This has become a major tourist attraction as people like to see these huge mammals at play. Some dolphins also venture into these waters occasionally.
