The name Niagara is said to have originated from Onguiaahra, an Iroquois word meaning thundering noise. The city covers an area of some 81 square miles and the falls at Niagara are said to be 12,000 years old. Not many people know that there are actually two waterfalls in Niagara namely the Canadian Horseshoe Falls and the American Falls. The combination of height and water flow makes the Falls still more beautiful and captivating.
