Inuvik is situated in the Northwest Territories of Canada. The distance of this place from the Arctic Ocean is 100 kms and from the north of the Arctic Circle is 200 kms.

Winter is not the best season to be in this town. After winter when spring starts, the Muskrat festival is celebrated during which the restaurants serve musk ox, caribou, Arctic char and other unique northern foods.
