Tourist Guide Cape Breton:

Cape Breton can be described as one of the counties located in Nova Scotia, a Canadian province; upon Cape Breton Island.
 
Having derived its name from ‘Cape Breton’, the name of island’s point that is towards the extreme east has been derived from ‘Bretons of Brittany’. This municipality has been possibly the oldest European name (surviving) which is being used for designating a portion of ‘North America’.

By proclamation which took place on 17th of October, 1763, i.e. after the termination of Seven Years’ War, ‘annexure of Cape Breton Island to ‘Nova Scotia’ took place. This led to Cape Breton Island to be a portion of ‘Halifax County’. On 10th of December, 1765, this place attained the status of being an exclusive county.

Amongst all trials and tribulations, Cape Breton County exists in the form of a county within the limits of Nova Scotia. However, service delivery and municipal government is being provided by First Nation reserves or Regional Municipality; that too, with no ‘additional’ county-level administration or government.

Black Brook beach along the cabot trail is gorgeous! It has a lot of waves, but not too big. The cabot trail in general is a must see, especially if you bring a camera! It's impossible to take a bad shot when the scenery is so perfect! Also, you gotta try the lobster. Nobody makes lobster like someone from back home :)

fishing in highlands awesome,ingonish beach,swiming area ,able to go from fresh to salt water in minutes,the restaruat on coner across from NSLC was the best ,Keltic Lodge was not all cracked out to be.My family will be back ,best hospitality any where

Great hospitality! Beautiful scenery and great hiking/walking trails everywhere! Beaches are especially wonderful in Port Hood and Inverness... sandy and warmer waters.
