Tourist Guide Guysborough

A Municipal district of Guysborough County in Nova Scotia, Canada, Guysborough town is the municipality of Guysborough District. The administrative center is situated in Guysborough Shiretown and occupies the Guysborough County’s eastern half. The Canso and Mulgrave towns come under this municipality. Towards the western edge the town share borders with the St. Mary’s municipal district. On the north side is the Antigonish County while on the East id the Strait of Canso.  

Guysborough was founded in 1879 and span over an area of 2,111 square kilometers. The total population of the place is 4,681. The city was incorporated on 17th April, 1879.   The place was discovered by in 1398 by Prince Henry who led a mission of 200 men from the Orkney Islands. A plan to build a marine terminal was announced in 2007 which costs around 1,500,000 TEU and will open in 2010.

The place's climate is influenced majorly by the presence of sea. The winters are usually cold while the summers are warm.
