The Northumberland Fisheries Museum boasts of maintaining the rich sea culture and heritage that is found along Northumberland Strait. The museum pays tribute to the life and times of all those pertaining in the past as well as the present with the fishing industry. In the spring and winter of 2007, this museum collaborated with the Northumberland Fisherman’s Association and built a lobster hatchery facility in the new museum building.
