Tourist Guide Pond Inlet
The city of Pond Inlet which is situated in the region of Qikiqtaaluk is a small city. The city is placed on the top of the Islands of Baffin, a part of Nunavut State, which lies on the northeastern part of Canada. The area of the city of Pond Inlet is about 173.36 square kilometers. As the city is located in the north eastern region of Canada the weather is very cool in summers as well as winters being close to the Arctic region. The temperature in this region is usually below 0 degrees throughout the calendar. In summers it is -11.5 degrees while in the winters it is usually -18.6 degrees, on an average. Snowfall in the form of minor showers is also very frequent in this region. The city is also well known for its wildlife especially the polar bears. As per the census recorded in year 2006, the population residing in this city is moderate i.e. around 1300 odd people. But it is expected to rise further considering the previous rise by 7.8%25.
