The region of Rankin Inlet is recognized for its ceramic production and has notable artists and artisans producing various works of art.

The Matchbox Gallery built in 1987 provides a display of a wide variety of ceramics, carvings, drawings, water colors, bronze castings and prints. The Iqalugaarjuup Nunanga Territorial Park is situated 10 km from Rankin Inlet and is perfect for adventures such as bird watching, hiking and fishing.

There are forty five archaeological sites within the park including the Thule archaeological site and the Qamaviniqtalik or the 'place of ancient sod houses'.

The Ferguson Lake Lodge is a settlement to explore where one can walk over game trails, observe the tent rings and camp and attend the story telling and inukshuk.

The Kivalliq Tours takes one to various archeological sites, tundra regions and gives information about the cross cultural lifestyle of the region.
