Barrie: Attractions and more...
Simcoe County Museum
At Simcoe County Museum, one would find 5 indoor galleries which would illustrate history of natives of Simcoe County, right from pre-historic times till date. Outdoors, tourists would find loads of historic constructions set in forested parklands. They can experience ringing of school bell, and go on to discover numerous farm implements as well as vehicles like Model ‘A’ Autotrac. One would get marveled at human inventiveness and ingenuity.
Simcoe County Museum goes on to offer a lot of ‘special events’, educational programs, and ever-changing exhibits all through the year. In the month of September, ‘Rug and Craft Fair’ is held. Likewise, in October, one can enjoy ‘An Evening of Hallowe’en’. The month of December witnesses Victorian Christmas.
