The city’s strikingly beautiful Gothic city hall was constructed in 1872. This hall tower stands some 185 feet above the street level.
There are sports events too like the hockey match by the Belleville Bull of the Ontario Hockey League which can be quite interesting to watch. If a tourist is religious he can visits numerous churches which are situated in Belleville. These include the Hastings Park Bible Church, the Bridge Street Church and the Eastminster United Church.
Then there is the Hastings & Prince Edward Regiment Military Museum which is at the Belleville Armoury and opens on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
One can visit the Colonel Roscoe Vanderwater Conservation area. This is a 630 acre of park which has an adult play ground during the winter and the summer season. There are also cross country ski trails and snow mobiling during the colder months. There are also sports activities like biking, hiking, walking and a barbecue area which are offered to all to enjoy a good summer day.
