Brockville is situated in the Thousands Island Region on St Lawrence River in the eastern part of Ontario in Canada. This place is also known as “City of Thousand Islands”, Brockville is one of the oldest cities of this region. The place got its name from Sir Isaac Brock. The area was first inhabited by American refugees who were later came to be known as United Empire Loyalists due to their political position o the side of King George III.
Brockville came into existence as a town in the year 1832 and very soon it became the industrial hub for shipbuilding, tanneries, tinsmiths, brewery and none other than hotel industries too. The first railway tunnel of Brockvillle was the first one in Canada and now has become one of the historic sites for the visitor.
Brockville is known for its warm hospitality and beautiful scenery with many water fronts.
The climate of this place is quiet moderate and can be visited at any time of the year.
The population of this town comes to 21,957 according tom 2006 census.
