Tourist Guide Gananoque
In Ontario, Canada, the Leeds and Grenville County has a town named Gananoque. Through the midst of this town, flows the River Gananoque. The southern boundary of this town is the St Lawrence River. The society in this town is mainly English speaking. 94.2 percent people have English as their first language and 1.3 percent have French as their first language. Three busiest transportation routes lie in Canada. These are St. Lawrence Seaway, the double-track Canadian National Railway main line and the four-lane Highway 401. Two remaining stretches of Highway 2 also pass through this town. Gananoque is home to a rich provincial highway heritage. The town has the Gananoque Airport which is used for general aviation reasons. The town is very close to the northern end of Interstate 81 that leads to the South into the United States. The Thousand Islands Bridge is a few minutes drive from this town.
As per the 2006 census, the population of Gananoque was 5285.
