Victoria County Museum
The objective of Victoria County Museum is collection, preservation, exhibition, and publication of material relating to Victoria County’s history (in particular) and historical records of Canada (in general). It also aims at acquisition of manuscripts and documents; thereby having obtained records and narratives of pioneers; along with maintenance of gallery relating to historical portraits.
Fenelon Falls Museum
Fenelon Falls Museum contains photograph and portrait of James Wallis, the pioneer, along with sculptures of Katherine Wallis. The other things contained in this museum include art-forms of Anne Langton; inclusive of self-portrait. Sideboard and butternut paneling from ‘Blythe House’ are also contained. One would get to see helmets, shells, swagger stick, insignia, and photographs relating to First World War. Victory bands and ration cards relating to Second World War would also be found. Arrowheads as old as 8000 BC are present.
Timings
Summer season is the only period when museum remains open on all the 7 days. Mondays-Fridays from 1100 to 1700 hrs and on Saturdays and Sundays from 1300 to 1700 hrs. Otherwise, museum remains open only on Saturdays and Sundays.
