The ‘City of Kitchener’ can be described as a city located in Ontario’s southwestern part, in Canada.
Kitchener had been known as ‘Town of Berlin’ between 1854 and 1912; and ‘City of Berlin’ between 1912 and 1916. This city is seat of ‘Waterloo Regional Municipality’. Moreover, it’s adjacent to petite cities of Waterloo on the northern side and Cambridge on the southern side.
In the year 2004, Kitchener went on to celebrate 150th anniversary on its part.
In the year 1784, land on which Kitchener had been built was a region given to Six Nations by British in the form of a gift with regards to allegiance on their part at the time of American Revolution.
Kitchener lies in ‘Southwestern Ontario’; within Saint Lawrence Lowlands. Its climatic and geological region comprises of deciduous forests and wet-climate soils.
As per census conducted in the year 2006, Kitchener’s population was 204668.
