Niagara SkyWheel is one of the main attractions in the Clifton Hill district of Niagara Falls. Standing above most of the city at 53 metres (175 feet) tall, SkyWheel has 42 fully-enclosed passenger cars, each of which carries eight people.
A full ride on SkyWheel lasts anywhere from 8 to 12 minutes and gives passengers stunning views of the exciting Clifton Hill area, the Niagara River and two of the waterfalls that make up the world-famous Niagara Falls, Horseshoe Falls and American Falls. Since each passenger car is equipped with heat and air conditioning, the ferris wheel is open all year-round from 9 am to 1 am each day.
The state-of-the-art SkyWheel opened to public in the center of Clifton Hill in 2006, replacing the Falls Tower Ride. Offering some of the most breathtaking views for miles around, Canada’s largest observation ferris wheel costs $9.99 CDN for adults and $6.99 for children 12 and under.
