Oakville can be described as a town located in ‘Halton region’, on the banks of Lake Ontario in Canada. Moreover, it’s a portion of Greater Toronto Area.
In the year 1793, ‘Dundas Street’ had been surveyed for military road. In the year 1807, various British immigrants moved ahead with settlement of this region, i.e. the region surrounding ‘Dundas Street’ and that on shore of ‘Lake Ontario’. In the year 1962, Oakville went on to merge with adjacent hamlets to form the novel ‘Town of Oakville’; thereby having reached towards the north, i.e. till ‘Steeles Avenue’ in ‘Milton’.
The climate of Oakville makes it the most livable town in Canada. It’s neither too hot in summer nor too cold in winter. Hence, one can pay a visit to this place during almost any time of the year.
According to census conducted in the year 2006, population of Oakville was 165613. Around 79% of total population consists of Christians.
