The Currency Museum opened initially in 1980 and is situated on the ground floor of the Bank of Canada in Ottawa. It is a public face too of the National Currency Collection having more than 100,000 currency related artifacts from across the world. Some of them include coins, dies, weights, wallets, illustrations of counterfeit money, bank notes and even ledgers of banks and government.
