Tourist Guide Sault Ste.Marie
Sault St. Marie in Ontario was incorporated as a town in 1887 and a city in 1912. This city gained international notoriety in 1911. This city made a name in steel making and Essar Steel Algoma which was formerly known as Algoma Street is the largest single employer with 3500 employees at the main plant.
The population of the city is 74,948. In 1990s and 2000s, the population declined as many people migrated to large cities in southern part of Ontario. This city is bordered to the east side by the Rankin Location and Garden River First Nation reserves. During the 1960s and 70s this city was a booming town. The average maximum annual temperature is 9.6 and the minimum is -1.0 degree Celsius.
