The Toronto Jazz Festival is a self contained event which runs independently from the city. It is held from in the month of June and July. This festival is a jazz event and was formerly known as the DuMaurier Jazz festival. Due to the ban on tobacco advertising by the federal government, it was forced to opt for a new sponsor. At present, it is sponsored by TD Canada Trust.
