Toronto is easily accessible via road, railway and air to other parts of the country. Within the city the TTC or Toronto Transit Commission operates extensively in the form of buses, subways and street cars.
It has a subway system which is the backbone of the transport system with its 2 main lines connecting the suburbs of Toronto with the downtown areas. The traffic within the city can get quite intense at times.
There are a number of bus routes connecting to the subways or RT stations. There are separate bike lanes in Toronto used by cyclists to travel safely.
