One of the most popular tourist sites of Toronto, Casa Loma was built by Sir Henry Pellat in 1917 as a gift to his wife. It was constructed at a price of $3.5 million and valued $27,305 just within a span of ten years. It displays marvelous seventeenth century architecture, comprising of Rhenish turrets, Elizabethan chimneys, underground tunnels and also secret passageways. The initial cost of furnishing was about $1.5 million. It is also home to a beautiful marble swimming pool, a big library and fifteen baths. One can opt for self-guided audio tours which do not have any additional cost.
