Hockey Hall of Fame came in to being out of use of the term ‘Hall of Fame’ in the 19th century for Great Americans, which had originally been a portion of New York University. Movement for creating the other ‘halls of fame’ was dedicated towards several disciplines picked up speed in 1930s. Initially, this term was adopted by baseball players. Later on, it got adopted by hockey players as well.
