When to visit
Due to its large size and being the central location in Canada, Ontario has different climates and geographies. The most favorable time to visit this state is during the summer season when the climate is ideal for outdoor activities and there are ample opportunities for wildlife watching from the Hudson Bay to the Pelee Island. Ontario is all about lakes and forests, with some interesting little towns and villages. The summer season is when this province hosts many famous festivals. The least famous time is during the spring when the climate is wet. The fall is quite colorful and this time is when everything is less expensive compared to the summer season. This makes it also one of the best times to visit the Niagara Region. The winters tend to be cold, though the weather can be exceptionally good for skiing and other outdoor activities. June to August is the high season with the low season being the months from March to May. Ontario is the best place to visit Ottawa, the CN Tower, Niagara Falls and even the wine region, during the summer. Other than that, this state can be visited for its whitewater rafting popularity. Overall, spring, summer and even autumn is the best time to visit for touring. For wintersports, winters are obviously the best time to visit.
