Visitors also have the opportunity of indulging in other adventure sports such as harness racing, hunting and motorcycling. The beaches of the island have an array of activities to offer. Indulge in deep-sea fishing or visit the Basin Head beach to experience ‘singing sands’, a unique feature of the island. One of the best ways to completely enjoy the beauty of the island is through the various scenic drives on the island, like the North Cape Coastal Drive or the Blue Heron. Visit one of the many provincial museums on the island, like the Acadian Museum, which provides an insight into the odyssey of Island Acadians since 1720 till present. Take a look at the finest home on the island, the Beaconsfield Historic House, which exudes Victorian elegance. Prince Edward Island hosts a variety of events, from agricultural fairs like the Provincial Plowing Match and Fair to music events such as the Prince Edward Island Jazz and Blues Festival.
