Tourist Guide Alma
Alma is situated on the south east coast of Lac Saint Jean in the region of Quebec of Canada.
The place came into existence in the tear 1960 with merging of four villages namely Isle Malignr, Naudville, Riverband and St Joseph d’ Alma.
In the year Alma became an important industrial center with the construction of Hydro electric dam on the Grande- Decharge River. With this came industries such as a paper mill and an aluminum smelting plant.
This city has a beautiful landscape that attracts travelers across the globe There are some popular gardens inside the city that includes unique and rarely found wild flowers. Also the city is rich in cultural heritage that can be reflected from the various art galleries present in the city.
Alma experiences a pleasant climate and can be visited throughout the year.
The population of this place comes to 29,998 according to 2006 census.
