In Quebec, Canada, the Monteregie region has a town called as Boucherville. It lies on the Southern shore of the Saint Lawrence River and is a suburb of Montreal. This town is a section of the Montreal Metropolitan Community regional government. The town is bounded by Varennes towards the North, Saint-Hubert towards the South, Sainte-Julie towards the East, Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville towards the Southeast, Saint Lawrence River towards the West and Vieux-Longueuil towards the Southwest. In this society, about 94 percent of the population is Roman Catholic. Less than 2 percent of the gross population is non-white. French is spoken as the first language by approximately 94 percent of the residents.
