Tourist Guide Cowansville
Cowansville is a quaint town located in the south central region of Quebec, Canada. With its picturesque mansions and tourist landmarks, Cowansville makes for a relaxing stopover for those entering the US border, which is barely 20 km away.
The town is the seat of Brome-Missisquoi County and is surrounded by the scenic Yamaska River, Lake Davignon and the Appalachian Mountains. The bustling city of Montreal is about 70 km north of the town.
Like Quebec, Cowansville experiences cold, hard winters with temperatures dropping well below the freezing point. There’s quite a lot of snow and sleet to keep the ski resorts packed. In the humid summers, however, the temperature wavers between 10°C–30°C.
The population of Cowansville is estimated to be around 12,000. Textiles are an important industrial activity of the town.
