Drummondville is located in Centre-de-Quebec of Quebec. Drummondville is also the county seat for Drummond Regional County Municipality.
Drummondville was founded in the year 1815 by Lieutenant Colonel Fredrick George Heriot. The town was named after Sir Gordon Drummond who was the Lieutenant governor of Upper Canada from 1813 to 1816. This place also has historical significance and offers various recreational and outdoor activities. The historical sites include Village Quebecois d’ Antan which is a cultural heritage place and displays historical acts of the town.
Also to impress the mind of artistic visitors there are art galleries and museums that exhibit various arts from local, regional and national level. Thus this city is a melting pot varied culture and architecture.
Drummondville experiences a pleasant climate that makes comfortable for the visitors to come to this place throughout the year.
The population of this city comes to 67,392 according to 2006 census.
