Granby: Attractions and more...
Granby makes for a relaxing tourist destination. Plan your visit near July so you can be a part of the Fête des Mascottes (Mascot Festival) or the Festival de la chanson de Granby (Granby Song Festival) which takes place every year.
One of the chief tourist attractions of the city is Granby Zoo, which has around 270 species (over a thousand animals including yaks, sharks and tigers) and has a Petting Zoo, an Adopt-an-Animal programme and a Traveller’s Shop.
You can also visit over 500 exotic birdlife at the Zoo D’Oiseaux Exotiques and native Canadian wildlife at the Canadian Wildlife Museum.
Learn more about the history and the advancements of the elegant sport of golf at the city’s Golf Museum. Or, if you aren’t much of a culture buff, you can always catch a play at the candid 70-seat Theatre de l’Ancien Presbytere, which used to be a church earlier. The Theatre Palace de Granby is also a great place to watch a musical or a comedy.
