Longueuil lies on southern shore of ‘Saint Lawrence River’ straightway across through Montreal; inside southwestern region of Quebec. People living in Longueuil are called ‘Longueuillois’.
Longueuil goes on to occupy 115.59 sq. Km of land. This place has been bounded by cities of Brossard and Saint-Lambert on the southern side, Boucherville on the northern side, Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville on the eastern side; and Montreal and Saint Lawrence River on the western side. Longueuil lies at a distance of around 7 Km on the eastern side of Montreal upon ‘south shore’ of ‘Saint Lawrence River’.
The climate of Longueuil can be classified as hemiboreal or humid continental. Winters are pretty long. This can be evident from the fact that they last between November and March.
Population as per 2006 census was 229330.
