Check the weather before packing the clothes for the trip as it can be very warm in the summer and extremely cold in winter.
Accordingly one needs to pack warm sweaters and cardigans for the winter and loose cotton clothes for the summer. However, the weather is unpredictable and it would be better to carry a variety of clothes including an umbrella.
Camera films are cheaper here than in Europe so they can be purchased here. It is recommended to carry traveller’s cheques, US dollars, a bank or credit card, medical insurance and a copy of the itinerary.
Two copies of your passport and visa and air ticket should be made and packed in advance. A comfortable pair of shoes for walking would be ideal as one can explore the city on foot.
Although there are several drug stores in the city it is wise to carry ones own medication and toiletries in a separate bag.
