Le Vieux Montréal is the oldest area of Montreal in Quebec and dates back to New France. Situated in the borough of Ville-Marie, this neighborhood includes the old Port of Montreal. Most of the sites of this neighborhood are declared historic district in 1964 as per the Ministère des Affaires culturelles du Québec. Le Vieux Montreal is a main tourist draw too having many old buildings that dates back to 1600s.
