Montreal is the second largest city in Canada and has a wealth of options for those interested in art and in making those dollars and the journey go as far as they can.

The Redpath Museum, which is located in downtown Montreal on the campus of McGill University, is entirely free for visitors (by donation). One of the oldest museums in the country, it has series of workshops and tours for very affordable prices.

The downtown Montreal Museum of Fine Arts has free guided tours. Past featured artists and styles have included Andy Warhol, Tiffany glass, John Lennon and Yoko Ono, Paris art and Cuban art.

The hottest tip for art on a budget in Montreal must be the Musée des Beaux Arts, a museum, housing the oldest and largest art collection in Quebec.
