Old Quebec is a neighborhood of Quebec City and also the capital of the province of Quebec in Canada. In general, Old Quebec refers to the part of Quebec City which is situated within the walls. There are also other parts of the city which have great monumental structures which are historic. By 1750, the city grew as one of the largest towns in New France having a population of 8,000.
