The Regional Municipality of Waterloo in Southern Ontario, Canada, has three cities. The smallest of these is called as Waterloo. It is adjoining the larger city of Kitchener. Waterloo and Kitchener have separate city governments, however they are jointly referred to as Kitchener-Waterloo (K-W). Waterloo is bounded by St. Jacobs, Elmira, towards the North, Conestogo, West Montrose towards the Northeast, Woolwich, Guelph, towards the East, Kitchener towards the South, Strattford towards the Southwest, Wilmot, St. Agatha towards the West and Wellesley towards the Northwest. Some of the neighbourhoods of Waterloo are Westmount, Westvale, Maple Hills, Beechwood West and Clair Hills.
The population of Waterloo during the 2006 census was 97,475.
The average temperature during July is 73.1 degrees Fahrenheit and this is the warmest month and the average temperature during January is 14.6 degrees Fahrenheit and this is the coolest month.
