Quebec, Canada, has a Laurentides region where Wentworth is a township. This township is a section of the Argenteuil Regional County Municipality. It is located towards the Northwest of Lachute. Wentworth has a gravelly, sandy and rocky soil that is not suitable for agriculture. Close to this township are the Laurentian Mountains and the altitude of the township is maximum 487 meters above sea level. This region abounds in several lakes that entices several fishing enthusiasts and cottage vacationers. The most famous amongst these is the Lake Louisa and this is the biggest lake in the Regional County. Other lakes are Rainbow, McDougall, Round, Saint-Francois-Xavier, Gustave and Notre-Dame. 54 percent people have English as their first language while 44 percent people have French as their first language.
The population of Wentworth in 2006 was 483. From 2001 to 2006, there has been a 11.3 percent increase in population.
