La Ronge is located 237 kilometers towards the north of Prince Albert on the west shore of the beautiful Lac la Ronge, the fourth largest lake in Saskatchewan.
As per the 2006 census, the population of La Ronge was 2725.
The temperature reaches a maximum in June-July when it varies from 10 to 25 degrees Celsius. It is lowest during December-January and alters from -27 to -13 degrees Celsius.
In the past, this place was a fur trading post. However, along with time there was a reduction in the fur market and this was substituted by offices of airlines, mining companies and government agencies.
