Tourist Guide Swift Current
Swift Current is a city situated to the south west of Saskatchewan in Canada. As per the 2006 census, the city had a population of 14,946 inhabitants. The name of Saskatchewan is derived from the word 'kisiskaciwan' which means 'it flows swiftly' and is also used to describe this city. The city experiences sunny days and clear skies most of the time.
The Swift Current Creek which flows across the prairies and into the Saskatchewan River passes through many parks, the Chinook Golf Course and the Chinook Pathway.
The city has many shops, boutiques, malls and restaurants for visitors to enjoy, especially in the downtown area. There are cafes and chains of stores on the streets which have cobblestone sidewalks and spacious areas for car parking.
