The village of Carmacks lies in the Yukon state and is found along the Klondike Highway. To its west end is the Robert Campbell Highway which leads this village to the Watson Lake. It is based on the banks of the Yukon River which proves beneficial to the village in numerous ways. It is home to the Armacks First Nation, who are people of the Northern Tutchone. It is one of the main points that make the famous intersection of four bridges on the Yukon River. The city is named after George Carmack, who was a gold seeker. The area measured by this village is large and is around 19.2 sq. kilometres. This village is enormously rich in terms of natural resources like coal, gold and copper. Due to its mining activities, there is little space for the locals to flourish; hence the population here is scarce. According to a recent census, the population was counted to just 425 people. The people here are mainly Christians.
